Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Story Interviewing Courses and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for your credentials, security of your device, and all activity on your account. Provide accurate, current, and complete information, and update it as needed.
- Minimum age of majority in your province/territory or parental consent.
- One person per account. Do not share credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
Payments and Refunds
Prices are listed in CAD unless stated. Taxes may apply based on your jurisdiction. By placing an order, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method.
Payment Methods
We accept major cards and other methods presented at checkout. You agree to provide a valid payment instrument and keep it up to date.
Pricing and Taxes
Prices may change without notice for new purchases. Advertised prices exclude applicable taxes unless indicated. You are responsible for any bank or foreign exchange fees.
Subscriptions
If a product is sold as a subscription, it will renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled before renewal. You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges; access continues until the end of the paid term.
Trials and Promotions
Trial offers convert to paid plans unless cancelled before the trial ends. Promotional terms apply as stated in the offer and may not be combined with other discounts.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if less than 20% of the course content has been consumed. To request a refund, contact support with your order details. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting support may result in account suspension. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks with evidence of delivery and usage.
Acceptable Use
- No redistribution, resale, or public posting of course materials without explicit written permission.
- No scraping, bulk downloading, or automated access outside documented features.
- No harassment, discrimination, or harmful conduct towards instructors or learners.
- No attempts to bypass paywalls, DRM, or security measures.
- Comply with Canadian law, export controls, and community standards.
License and Intellectual Property
Upon payment, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the purchased course for personal, non-commercial use. All content, trademarks, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
- No derivative works, translation, or adaptation without written consent.
- No removal of copyright, trademarks, or proprietary notices.
- We may watermark or track access to protect our content.
User Content and Conduct
If you submit comments, assignments, or other content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display such content solely to operate and improve the services. You are responsible for your submissions and warrant that you have the necessary rights.
Access, Availability, and Modifications
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control may cause temporary downtime. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
Privacy
We process personal information to deliver and improve our services, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud. For details on data collection, use, and retention, review our privacy practices available through your account or support channels.
Disclaimers
Courses and materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Outcomes depend on individual effort and circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our affiliates shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Story Interviewing Courses, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms or suspected fraudulent or harmful activity. Upon termination, your right to access the services will cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
You and we waive the right to participate in class or representative actions. You may bring claims on an individual basis only.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services.
